Smallish shrub of very distinct appearance, with narrow, wiry, zig-zag stems and small pinnate leaves with tiny leaflets. Orange-yellow pea-type flowers in May.
Best planted in full sun in well drained soil in a fairly sheltered spot. Drought tolerant and will grow in part shade, but may tend to become mis-shapen..
Found in New Zealand and Chile.
