Small, clump-forming semi-evergreen perennial developing fans of narrow sword-shaped leaves. Short-lived star-shaped flowers in summer of a very unusual colour, coffee-buff with a hint of mauve and dark purple veining.
Well drained, poor to moderately fertile, neutral or slightly alkaline soil in full sun. Dislikes excessive winter wet.
